Georgia 12 CE Hour Renewal Bundle
This 12-CE hour bundle consists of the following two online classes:
- HISTORICAL HYDROTHERAPY – THE KNEIPP CURE (10 CE Hours)
- HISTORICAL HYDROTHERAPY – THE COLD WATER CURE (2 CE Hours)
It is approved by the NCBTMB (#799) for continuing education. Consequently, it is also accepted by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy for continuing education in addition to several other state health boards (please see the bottom of our About page for other states that accept NCBTMB approved courses for continuing education credits).
Students simply download the two course documents as PDF files in addition to the two corresponding textbooks. After reading through the course documents and textbooks, there is an exam at the end of each course that can be completed online. After successfully passing the online exams, students will receive a certificate and have their results reported to CE Broker within 48-hours or sooner. Students may also instantly report course completions to CE Broker by uploading their certificate(s) into their personal CE Broker account.
HISTORICAL HYDROTHERAPY – THE COLD WATER CURE (2 CE Hours) Course Description:
In an effort to encourage hydrotherapy students to broaden their knowledge base in the historical aspects of water therapies, Harvest Field Institute of Learning LLC has gathered a collection of classic writings (all of which are included in this course and available free-of-charge to the public through Archive.org) and developed a series of exams to test students’ reading comprehension of these texts. Each book has been individually selected by the school for its historical influence on the practice of modern hydrotherapy, and a word count has been completed to estimate the equivalent number of continuing education hours students should receive for reading such text(s) based on standards presented by national regulatory boards such as the NCBTMB. In addition, an exam has been formulated by the course instructor to test the reader’s retention and is equivalent to 5 questions per CE hour being offered by the school.
The required text for this course is The Cold Water Cure, As Practiced By Vincent Priessnitz, at Gräfenberg, in Silesia. It was written by Richard Beamish andpublished in 1843 by London: Samuel Highley. This book provides an excellent analysis of the treatments developed by Vincent Priessnitz (also known as Vincenz Prießnitz) that were developed from years of empirical observations on hydrotherapy applications such as compresses, eye and foot baths, showers, and hip/full baths that brought renewed interest in hydrotherapy to Europe and earned him the title of “Father of Modern Hydrotherapy”. It contains detailed cases the author observed while visiting Vincent Priessnitz in Gräfenbergand well-preserved pictorial descriptions of Vincent Priessnitz’s hydrotherapy treatment center (which is still in operation to this very day) and where the original “body wrap” was first invented before being employed in spas throughout the world. There are approximately 28,266 words in this book and an additional 3,031 words in this course guide and accompanying 10-question exam. Per the NCBTMB’s standards for continuing education completed via distance study (15,000 words per CE hour), this course meets the requirement for a total of 2 CE hours.

There are approximately 145,428 words in this book and an additional 5,072 words in this course guide and accompanying 50-question exam.
