This is a 2 CE hour course that is designed to provide nurses, massage therapists, and other healthcare professionals with the signs, symptoms and risk factors for impairment in the workplace. In addition, intervention programs and mandatory reporting laws will also be discussed. Although the laws presented within this course are lengthy, please keep in mind that these are not the only rules and laws that healthcare practitioners need to be aware of. For example, there are reporting laws for domestic violence injuries (please see our Domestic Violence – 2 CE Hour course for more details) and two major laws in the state of Florida that pertain to HIV/AIDS testing and reporting (please see our HIV Awareness – 3 CE Hour course for further information).
